Windstream Channel Keeps the Momentum going with Key Strategic Appointments

Last month we announced the exciting integration of our Windstream Enterprise, Small Business and Broadview channel teams into a single centralized selling motion to increase the simplicity with which our valued partners conduct business with us.  To help lead this unified effort, I’m pleased to announce, effective immediately, the appointment of two individuals into key Channel leadership positions.

Ron Beer has been named Vice President, South and will oversee our business from Maryland to Florida and all markets west to Texas.   I’m excited to welcome Ron “home,”  rejoining the Windstream team from Nitel where he was a regional Vice President.   “I’m beyond excited to help lead Windstream’s very visible transformation of their channel business and channel commitment.  The breadth of value I can deliver to my friend and colleagues in the channel with Windstream’s broad set of solutions, and especially our leadership in the SD WAN & UCaaS space (with recent addition of BV Office Suite) is fantastic” said Beer.  

Ron has more than 15 years in channel and partner sales in the network services industry including positions as VP of partner sales at Earthlink and VP of channel sales at PAETEC/Windstream.  During his career, Ron has earned a reputation within the industry for building strong teams that marshal growth for his team and for his partners.  

Michael Brennan is taking on a key leadership role as the head of our National and Strategic Programs.   In his new role, Michael will lead our Channel’s National Partner team, committed to partnering with our strategic National Masters to drive market penetration and new partner on boarding with our masters.   Brennan and team will emphasize Windstream’s strategic areas of differentiation and drive the Channel’s go-forward Right to Win strategy within the National Masters and their subagent community.

Michael has been with the organization 9+ years, and has held key leadership roles over Inside Channel Sales, Account Management, and most recently within the National Partner Program.  He was instrumental in the successful Channel Transformation at Earthlink, most specifically in the Master Agency program and I’m excited to have him employ that experience and expertise to continue Windstream’s own program evolution.
