Step Two: Browse our preparation checklists that display the steps we take to get ready for major storms. Know that our field services are ready for these types of events and that we do everything we can to minimize or remove interruptions to our network and your services.

Windstream Disaster Preparedness Checklist:

  • Emergency Power suppliers on standby
  • Backup Generators Tested & Fueled
  • Offsite equipment back-ups in place
  • Facility Preparation & Protection (sand bags, ice melt, tarps, plywood, tool kits, sleeping accommodations, satellite phones, medical kits)
  • Permits secured for facility access
  • Fleet Vehicles – Confirm Maintenance, Spare Fuel Cans
  • Update Disaster Contact Information for all personnel
  • Review all regional Emergency Management Plans
